Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
First impressions count and our team has a key role in setting the high standard of service that our clients expect of Irwin Mitchell. As part of the team, you'll work with clients and colleagues to successfully onboard our consumer clients and ensure they are set up with the correct funding agreements for their matters.
As a Client Funding Advisor, you'll be responsible for sending important documentation out to clients and providing clear oral explanations to ensure they are comfortable with our funding agreements. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
* Client Documentation: The advisor ensures that all necessary documentation related to funding is completed accurately and in a timely manner. This will involve preparing the pre-contract letter, terms of business, cost estimate letters and other relevant documents depending on the matter type, adding these to the client file and scheduling a client call to provide the oral explanation to gain client consent.
* Workload and diary management: Managing workflow pipeline, allocation of new requests and scheduling regular follow up and agreement over client contact to ensure exceptional client experience.
* Client Consent: The advisor will ensure that any client queries in relation to funding are managed appropriately in order to gain client consent over the phone and to allow the fee-earner to progress the case in a timely manner.
* Communication and Customer Focus: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as partners, fee-earners, and other teams, to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of centralised funding requests. Build strong relationships across Client Services and with the fee earning teams.
* Continuous Improvement: Make recommendations to Team Leader on any improvements to processes and/or procedures, developing themes with colleagues that they may become aware of as part of the day to day activities.
About You:
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Accuracy and attention to detail and ability to follow defined policies and procedures.
* Strong grammar and punctuation skills.
* Professional telephone and face-to-face manner.
* Ability to work under pressure, both within a team and individually.

Flexible by Choice
We recognise that the office 9-5 isn’t for everyone. That’s why we’ve introduced ‘Flexible by Choice’.
Whether it’s working from home, in our offices, or a combination of the both, we trust each other to support our clients, colleagues and communities at the right time, in the right way.

Our social responsibility programme is fundamental to who we are.
The Human Touch That Matters To You
In September 2019 we launched our human touch campaign. It focused on the emotional transitions our clients go through and the role our colleagues play in supporting them when they need more than just expertise. We wanted to create a marketing campaign that dared to be different and we believe that it was made by the most inclusive production team ever. It’s the perfect example of our three strategic pillars coming together and Life at Irwin Mitchell is a continuation of this, which reinforces why our culture is truly unique.
We sat down with people from different backgrounds and with different experiences to find out what it’s really like to work here.
They spoke openly and honestly about their careers, their clients and the human touch that matters to them.
