Senior Accountant/ Associate Partner
Location: Salford Quays
Salary: circa £45,000- £60,000 DOE
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Accountant/ Associate Partner to join our client based in Manchester, taking a leading role in managing the accounting needs of their diverse client portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with proven experience in a varied general practice role, managing their own portfolio. This role is perfect for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and takes pride in delivering tailored, high-quality accounting services. Key responsibilities:
1. Manage the accounting needs of a portfolio of businesses across various sectors, building strong client relationships.
2. Prepare accurate and timely year-end accounts and management reports.
3. Prepare accurate and timely corporation tax computations.
4. Provide support to clients during tax audits, corresponding with HMRC as necessary.
5. Provide tailored tax planning advice to clients to optimise their tax position.
6. Assist clients in preparing budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
7. Provide guidance on optimizing cash flow and liquidity to strengthen financial health.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and best practices.
9. Identify and advise on potential financial risks to clients, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
10. Contribute to continuous improvements in clients' financial systems and processes.
11. Contribute to the growth and success of our firm by identifying business development opportunities.
12. Work closely with other colleagues to deliver a seamless service to clients.
Essential skills:
1. ACA / ACCA Qualified (or equivalent).
2. An up-to-date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards.
3. Experience working in a varied general practice.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
7. Demonstrated commitment to building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service.
8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Adaptability with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing changing priorities and client needs.
