This is a unique opportunity to work with our national and regional news brands including but not limited to The Mirror, Daily Express, Manchester Evening News and many more. You will oversee the editing of original, social, vodcast, and branded content aimed at evolving our audience engagement and expanding revenue opportunities.
Reach Studio launched last year and is a unique blend of editorial and commercial talent, serving multimedia content to both our audiences and advertising partners. Our dynamic team is made up of highly skilled producers, editors, designers and social media experts. This role works from our Canary Wharf offices 5 days per week, we are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.
Job Description
What will the role involve?
You will expertly edit video content to a high standard utilising your proficiency with Adobe Premiere to produce high-calibre edits across commercial, social, and marketing projects. You will ensure all video content is meticulously aligned with project briefs, resource allocations, budgetary constraints, and deadlines while upholding superior quality standards. You'll bring animations and motion graphics to life with dynamic flair and provide direction to other editors, fostering a collaborative environment.
You will support the team by optimising resources and managing daily operations efficiently. Leading by example, you'll conduct regular quality checks across the team to ensure quality. You will manage projects with internal and external stakeholders, adhering to workflows and processes. As a mentor, you'll guide junior team members in best practices and oversee their technical processes. You will maintain hard drives and archives meticulously and contribute to technology software and hardware launches within the department.
Staying ahead of video trends, you'll share insights in forums to drive innovation. With an expert eye, you'll handle colour correction and grading, conforming to broadcast and social standards, and source audio tracks to create well-crafted soundscapes. The typical working pattern is Monday to Friday but some flexibility around major events is required to keep our studio ahead of the curve
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
You have substantial proven experience in a similar role at a production company, post-house, agency, publisher, or brand. Your expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite is unparalleled, with exceptional skills in Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. You are highly skilled in colour grading using Adobe Premiere and have a high level of proficiency in sound mixing and mastering. You have a passion for creating original, social, and branded content and bring initiative, problem-solving prowess, and creativity to the table daily.
You can manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and reacting quickly to breaking news. You are a master of organisation with a keen attention to detail, whether working independently or collaborating with the wider team, while your 'can do' attitude enables you to work well under pressure. You are excited to take on a supportive mentorship role to junior editors and have experience managing video projects.
