Job Title: Community Development Worker Location of work: Town Hall/Community Bases Salary: £34,944 - £44,787 Basis: Full Time/ One year Fixed Term maternity cover About the Role Are you looking for a new career opportunity in a fast developing, forward thinking, and ambitious organisation? About the Person You will have a proven track record of working with communities to address inequalities, with the confidence and experience to lead on the development of new projects and support our networks of active citizens and local partners. You will be a team player, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders but also able to work alone and build supportive networks to help you deliver for your community. You will be able to provide reports on your work and be self sufficient in administrative tasks. An understanding of the particular requirements of working within a political organisation and alongside elected members would be an advantage. You will also have an interest in supporting the community to thrive, particularly though work with the voluntary, community and faith sector. You will have a flexible approach and in addition to working on community lead projects you will work alongside our partners Surrey County Council to develop the offer at the Merstham Hub.
