Continuous Improvement Manager | Purfleet | Full Time
Our client is a leading provider of integrated quay-to-quay and door-to-door logistics solutions.
They are a Vehicle Enhancement Centre where vehicles are prepared for customer handover and commercial vehicles are built to fleet customers’ specifications. It is a busy, fast-paced environment and as the company continues its rapid growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Manager.
Within this challenging role, you will support the Head of Operations and the Management Team within the organisation to ensure the continuous improvement of services to the Automotive Industry.
Although this role is based in Purfleet there will be a commitment to travel to UK sites regularly.
Are you the right person for the job?
To be educated to a degree level or to have relevant experience
To have experience within an operational role and the improvements of efficiency by reviewing and refining processes
Proven ability to lead projects and deliver change in a process-driven environment
A strong knowledge of IT systems
To have an analytical understanding to set practical targets from data
To have a high degree of flexibility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
The understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma
What will your role look like?
Identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains, cost reductions, automation, process analysis and cost accounting
To be responsible for maintaining a dynamic knowledge base of IT systems and solutions to ensure that the organisation is efficient and productive
To support and influence decision making processes by analysing the operation, administration, efficiency and performance and implement and drive new initiatives. To follow-up and ensure that these hit the targets and are workable
Monitoring all operational & administrative tasks/projects, deliverables and customer requirements within the company and ensure these are met and carried out efficiently and in a timely fashion
To produce and maintain advanced statistical, planning, efficiency and KPI models and matrixes. To set targets and goals based on the analysis, in co-operation with the management team
Actively develop a continuous improvement and lean culture, driving change by utilising effective communication with the floor and management
To methodically address various ad-hoc urgent administrative, operational priorities within a busy organisation with a dynamically changing environment
To proactively collate, analyse data and advise on findings
To assist management with achieving set goals including projects, tasks, reports, etc. To provide guidance during problem solving processes
