What are your contributions to the team?
1. Use the Bombardier Integrated Quality Management System.
2. Participate in the process of writing and maintaining Technique (method) sheets for the testing of components and liaise with a Level 3 Technician.
3. Understand and apply the company and industry statutory operational specifications for the evaluation of landing gear components, flap tracks, and carriages.
4. Test and verify the condition of a diverse range of components passing through the NDT area, performing these in a timely manner.
5. Maintain a Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
6. Maintain a good level of NDT knowledge and prepare for assessments and examinations as required.
7. Work and contribute to the team within the area, managing individual certification to keep it current and valid.
8. Attend internal and external training courses as required to maintain and develop the relevance of certification.
9. Perform routine maintenance on equipment in the area as required to operate legally.
10. Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Production or Section Manager.
11. All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company procedures.
12. Interface with production departments.
13. Attend meetings as required.
14. Constantly monitor operating methods to facilitate improvements in the service provided to the customer.
15. Maintain full and effective liaison with all departments directly or indirectly affected by the assigned area of responsibility.
16. Work within established company policies, procedures, and agreements.
17. Be aware of the major accident prevention plan (MAPP).
18. Understand responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures.
19. Train personnel within a specified area subject to qualifications and experience.

1. Eddy Current L2 (as required).
2. Magnetic Particle Inspection L2 (as required).
3. Liquid (Dye) Penetrant L2 (as required).
4. Ultrasonic Testing L2 (as required).
5. Able to travel and support Bombardier internationally.
6. Oversee L1 and other NDT Trainees and sign off hours.
7. Good IT user knowledge (e.g. SAP or similar business software, Microsoft Office Excel).
8. Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements and other applicable aviation regulations.
9. Knowledge of Health and Safety working practices.
10. Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
11. Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
12. Good communicator - ability to communicate with staff on business and other issues that affect the business.
13. Good planning, organization, and administration skills; PC literate.
14. Able to maintain performance under pressure.
15. Ability to make decisions.
