The Projects Sector delivers a broad range of capital civil engineering schemes for various clients across the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the Project Sector team and learn alongside our experienced engineers. You will be responsible for the daily control, management, and coordination of construction activities on site to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required safety, environmental, and quality standards. With the support of your work-based mentor, your responsibilities will increase as your skills and technical knowledge develop. The successful candidate may work on a variety of projects from £100k to £40M, including new roads, bridges, flood alleviation schemes, etc., with a focus on carbon reduction to provide safer, greener roads.

Entry Requirements:
* You must have the permanent Right to Work in the UK
* BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering. Minimum 2:2
* Full UK driving Licence
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting out and surveying using the latest GPS and robotic instruments.
* Processing survey data using AutoCAD for design and as-built records.
* Site record keeping & paperwork.
* Assisting with programming.
* Correspondence and QA procedures.
* Producing risk assessments and method statements.
* Knowledge of and adherence to Health & Safety Legislation, prepared to lead by example on site.
Skills and Experience:
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
* Good English and Maths skills
* Good communication skills
* Good problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently and contribute as part of a team
* Experience of 2D and 3D AutoCAD (desirable)
* Work placement (year or summer placement) within a civil engineering business (desirable)
* CSCS card (desirable)
* Basic knowledge of construction Health and Safety (desirable)
Training and Qualifications:
Unless already held, formal role-specific training will be provided which may include CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid. The successful candidate will also be supported with progression towards professional development with a professional organisation such as the ICE or IHE.
