About the role
As the System Change Accountant, you will be the first line of support for finance systems at Trinity College London (TCL). You will identify inefficiencies, drive system enhancements, and ensure seamless integration of financial data across the department. Acting as a key enabler for finance is a key part of the role, you will implement best practices, reduce manual work, and support users in optimising system functionality. You will improve ineffective data flows, build document system audit trails and processes, and assist the Finance Systems & Change Manager on strategic projects to optimise the use of finance systems. You will also provide training and ensure that finance colleagues are using the systems as effectively as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in finance processes through automation and system enhancements.
* Lead finance system improvements, ensuring streamlined workflows and reducing manual tasks.
* Continuously review finance systems, ensuring they align with business needs and compliance requirements.
* Support the roll-out of system updates and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption.
* Work with stakeholders to assess the impact of system changes on financial operations.
* Act as the first point of contact for finance system-related queries and troubleshooting.
* Diagnose and resolve system issues, escalating to IT or vendors when necessary.
* Maintain system user access and ensure appropriate Segregation of Duties (SOD) controls.
About You
* CIMA, ACCA or similar part/fully qualified accountant
* Computer Skills - SUN and Q&A
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with first-line system support experience.
* Experience in financial process automation and system improvements.
* System integration and upgrade experience preferable.
* Proven project management and test management skills.
