Infrastructure Architect - Active SC clearance £550 per day, inside IR35 Remote, occasional travel to Stevenage Full-time, contract Join our Defence and National Security business as an Infrastructure Architect and play a crucial role in making the world more sustainable through innovation. Day-to-day of the role: Design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet stringent security and customer requirements. Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate new solutions with existing systems and technologies. Mentor and provide technical guidance to colleagues, enhancing their skills and knowledge in infrastructure technology. Offer technical support during testing phases, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Develop and maintain essential documentation such as architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical guides. Stay abreast of new technologies, trends, and best practices to foster continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure, including operating systems, operational monitoring, backup, and recovery. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting for infrastructure automation. Familiarity with security standards, frameworks, or benchmarks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications are highly desirable Demonstrable experience in Operational Acceptance and related documentation. Understanding of Software Development and Testing Lifecycles. Experience across all testing phases such as Integration, System, Regression, FAT, SAT, UAT, OAT, and witness testing. Service Readiness experience. Knowledge of Configuration/Change/Release management principles. Familiarity with Continuous Integration and DevOps practices. Strong troubleshooting skills and a systematic approach to defect resolution.
