A young adult male with Autism requires a support worker who is a driver to access the community, socialise, and participate in voluntary work. No personal care is involved, just reassurance and a positive attitude.
The ideal candidate could be male or female and needs to be caring, fun and have a great sense of humour. Previous experience of adults with Autism would be beneficial but not essential. You MUST have a full, clean driving licence and be willing to drive the car provided when necessary (or use your own car with expenses provided)
Hours can be varied and flexible to suit mutual needs but will generally be 4-hour shifts covering either dinner or teatime. Longer shifts will be required for full days out which will be mutually agreed. Up to 24.5 hours per week are available which could be fitted around childcare or studies, with an hourly rate of £13.00.
This is a great position with good rates of pay and flexible hours.
