Job Title: Business Development Manager – New Build
Reporting to: Development and Specification Director
Main purpose of the role:
Identification, activity and engagement with National and Regional Contractors, Architects,
and clients to create new business demand for Roofing products, gaining maximum value
and product leadership proposition whilst creating demand for new products and services
through specification. To work closely with Regional and Area sales Managers to provide a
pipeline of opportunities.
Main tasks/duties of the role:
• Delivery of monthly specification targets leading to overall achievement of the company revenue and volume targets.
• Responsibility for the commercial success of projects, working closely with National and Regional Contractors, Architects and clients to ensure maximum commercial advantage and commitment through new and existing supply chain agreements and increasing compliance levels.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers including the creation of specification in association with Regional roofing and/or specialist Sales colleagues.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure compliance and conversion of the supply chain agreements and project success.
• Implement the sales delivery element of the agreed strategic plan, interacting across all channels and promoting to customers new product development and specific marketing strategies enabling us to achieve and maintain and grow our market position.
• To record, monitor and manage all project, package, company, contact and actions within Salesforce on a daily basis to ensure regular and effective communication across all relevant functions.
• Continually promote our value and product proposition to meet customer and business needs.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Technical Sales professional – Specifier, Contractor and Project Sales.
• Highly developed communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally.
• The ability to develop strong relationships with strategic customers and develop joint business opportunities.
• Educated to GCSE Maths and English, A Level or equivalent.
• MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, CRM systems experience.
