Responsibilities/Duties
1. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and perform breakdown maintenance of machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
2. Read engineering drawings to assist with the construction, assembly, and fitting of plant machinery/parts.
3. Report completed tasks efficiently using our maintenance software.
4. Conduct daily maintenance inspections to ensure all plant equipment is operationally safe and compliant with relevant legislation and company policies.
5. Support the operational team to meet operational efficiency targets.
6. Assist in controlling stock levels of spare parts on-site and report this information to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
7. Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Company.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
1. Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with at least 3 years of apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
2. Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering challenges.
3. Ability to read engineering drawings and determine appropriate methods and sequences of operations.
4. Demonstrate an analytical approach to investigations and a practical ability to resolve engineering problems.
5. Experience in fabrication tasks using MIG & electrode welding and gas burning equipment.
6. Flexible working hours, including participation in shift work, weekends, and breakdown/Call-out cover to facilitate maintenance when equipment is available.
7. Valid driving license is desirable but not essential, as the role may involve travel between sites as required.
