Sheffield City Council's Transport Services are offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, committed and competent people to join our team in the role of Motor Vehicle Technician.
The main purpose of the role is to inspect, service and repair Sheffield City Council's wide range of vehicles including LGVs, minibuses, and cars within our fully equipped specialist workshops and out on site.
You will be organised and flexible and be prepared to cover shifts and a breakdown recovery service on a rotational basis. You will also be committed to providing the highest standards of customer service; in return, you will benefit from excellent terms and conditions of service.
Hours of work are 37 per week, and you will take part in a rotating shift pattern covering the hours of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Any hours worked over this are paid in addition.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Time served with a minimum of 3 years workshop experience.
2. Hold a full driving licence.
3. Fully qualified to City and Guilds level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Specialist product training is provided, and the opportunity to train as a MOT Tester is available.
