What You Will Do Ensure that Quality policies, procedures and standards are followed throughout the micro laboratory and during microbial analysis. Lead the regular and structured analysis of microbiological data Drive quality improvements based on data insights. Support ISO 9001, IMS, GMP compliance and other standards as applicable to ensure high level of positive engagement within team. Implement SHE standards and raise issues to SHE Manager when needed. Ensure the safety, health and environment compliance of personnel completing the site quality procedures. SERVICE RELATED Approval, rejection of starting materials, packaging materials and finished product. Ensure necessary testing is conducted, records documented and retained. Approval of specifications, sampling instructions, test methods and other quality control procedures. Ensuring qualifications and validations of laboratory equipment. Approval and monitoring of contract analysis (3rd party). SAVINGS Integrate quality control and quality assurance processes to deliver the best quality product. Work with procurement to implement plans to ensure and improve quality from raw and packing materials. Support and implement Site Man Ex Programme, driving savings through improved quality. Support effective management of Quality budget. PEOPLE Role model behavioural standards for team as defined in 5E leadership model. Support development of site quality training programme. To manage the process of starting materials, packaging materials and finished product (approvals and rejections where necessary). To manage, document and record the testing process and take corrective actions where required. To qualify and validate any laboratory equipment. To drive the contract analysis process including approval and monitoring. Liaise with other organisational functions to strongly communicate requirements and ensure goals are achieved. To ensure compliance with GLP/GMP maintaining lab equipment, glassware and laboratory chemical stocks ensuring delays in testing. Performing routine monitoring of water system, TOC, conductivity, chemical testing and microbiological sampling both on purified and WFI systems. Perform duties in accordance with principles for GMP and safe working practices. Preparation of in-house prepared agars and broths. Submission and administration of samples required for external microbiology testing. Sterility testing and analysis of irradiated and sterile filled finished product including the completion of appropriate documentation. Bioburden testing of raw materials. Microbiology reporting. Basic microbiological techniques. Micro laboratory waste decontamination and disposal. Ensuring environmental monitoring of manufacturing areas. Maintaining and updating paperwork associated with laboratory activities ensuring smooth running of QC functions: i.e.-specifications, methods and production documents. Analyse test results and generate basic reports. Control of non-conforming product. Development of methods in line with ECOLAB and regulatory requirements. Endotoxin testing and results analysis. Support the management of hygiene pre-requisite programmes on site. Manage the Micro Lab and two lab assistants in the day to day delivery of business requirements. What You´ll Need 2-5 Year in a lab-based environment. Experience of working in a GMP Environment preferred. Expert in Office 356 application and can demonstrate analytical skills. Experience of managing direct report an advantage. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
