Job Title: Performing Arts Teacher (Music, Drama, or Dance) Location: Nelson, Lancashire Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Easter to Christmas) About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality lessons in Music, Drama, & Dance across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to explore and appreciate the arts while supporting their creative development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering students' skills in the arts and cultivating a love for performance. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Music, Drama, & Dance across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are supported. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to encourage improvement. Foster a positive, creative, and inclusive classroom environment that inspires student performance and creativity. Prepare students for exams, assessments, and performances. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, including drama productions, music ensembles, or dance clubs. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Performing Arts curriculum. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Music, Drama, Dance, or a related field. Experience teaching Music, Drama, or Dance at the secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4). Strong subject knowledge and a passion for performing arts education. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN). A positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to fostering student success in the arts.
