The role Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is looking for 2 Senior Development Managers for the Site Wide Coordination & Management division who will play a pivotal role in shaping Australia’s newest city As a Senior Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Australia’s newest city This role is responsible for designing, planning and managing the implementation and delivery of allocated projects, and coordinating a range of activities to support the development and delivery of Bradfield City Centre (BDA) as Australia’s newest city which will be advanced, green and a connected hub for advanced industries. This role will also be responsible for managing strategy formulation, planning for implementation, and overseeing the delivery of complex development projects. Your role will involve coordinating a range of activities to support the successful development and delivery of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Development Manager – Planning (up to 18 July 2025) role will be focused on the management of the planning agreements, subdivision processes and traffic studies associated with the Bradfield City Centre. The Senior Development Manager – Urban Design (up to 14 November 2025) role will be focused on the management of urban design elements, such as Public Realm Urban Design Manual, necessary to define the delivery of vision of the Bradfield City Centre. Ability to manage effective partnerships and working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, often with competing interests. Capable of advocating for the BDA culture and ensuring transparent, impactful communication that builds trust and achieves government outcomes. Experience in managing strategy formulation, implementation, and delivery planning for allocated projects, making independent day-to-day decisions related to work priorities and workload management. Strong understanding of feasibility modelling, program and budget management systems, and risk management to deliver value for money outcomes. Proven ability to guide, support, coach, and mentor team members, ensuring effective collaboration and achieving team outcomes. Ability to remain composed and calm under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Demonstrated commercial and financial understanding with experience of feasibility modelling, program and budget management systems and risk management. Strong communications skills including negotiation, presentation, dispute resolution and influencing skills. Experience in the preparation of accurate and timely reports for distribution to Senior Executives, the Board and Government.
