Seasonal Beach Patrol Officer Vacancy - Blackpool
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work as part of the Council’s Beach Patrol team at Blackpool for 2025. This is a seasonal post for the summer (July & August mainly, but there may be additional work earlier in June and September).
You must be confident in your abilities and possess an up-to-date RLSS National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification or be willing to attend an RLSS NVBLQ course that we will be running early summer.
Interviews & Assessments
Assessment Details:
1. 15–20-minute interview
2. Physical Assessment – Incident response exercise
3. Timed 1 mile run – 8-minute qualifier
4. Timed 400m swim – 8-minute qualifier
Assessment Date TBC depending on availability:
1. 08:00am - Swim test at Palatine Leisure Centre
2. 10:00am – Interview slots will commence, with subsequent run and incident response exercise all held at Beach Patrol Headquarters
You will need to bring with you:
1. Your relevant qualification certificates (e.g. your NVBLQ plus others)
2. Sports attire for swimming and running
3. Passport, Driving Licence, proof of current address along with two references
