One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Business Support Officer on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week.
Overview:
* We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to support our Head of Service. This is a pivotal role that ensures the smooth running of daily operations, providing high-level administrative support and helping to manage a varied and often fast-moving workload.
* Supporting the Head of Service with inbox management, diary coordination, and general workload prioritisation.
* Acting as a first point of contact by email and telephone handling queries with empathy and professionalism.
* Accurately logging and case managing incoming requests and updating systems and spreadsheets accordingly.
* Taking ownership of queries and workstreams, driving them forward independently and, where possible, to resolution. Communicating clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders and teams across the council.
