Reception Teacher Responsibilities: Design and implement engaging, creative and differentiated lessons that adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster the holistic development of children, ensuring that their emotional, social and academic needs are met. Regularly assess and monitor children's progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting learning approaches to support individual needs. Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children’s active participation and fosters a love of learning. Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to learning and well-being. Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to further enhance your teaching skills and career. Reception Teacher Job Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and the ability to create engaging and educational experiences for children in their first years of school. Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting is desirable, though not essential for the right candidate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students. A genuine passion for working with young children, nurturing their development and providing an enriching and stimulating learning environment.
