We are focused on meeting targets, both financial and customer related. We expect our supervisor to have a firm knowledge of Grounds Maintenance in an Estates environment and be able to actively contribute to ensuring that the team's KPI'S are met. You will be able to analyse customer feedback and drive the service towards continual improvement. As Team Leader you will be tasked with leading the Operational Mentors on site, recruiting new staff members with a diverse background, and actively developing the team by giving constructive feedback. You will be responsible for ensuring our customer standards are delivered, time on site is recorded, and that the customers experience of our service is positive. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory H&S compliance requirements within Grounds Maintenance environment with experience of undertaking risk assessments and formulating method statements. Competence in the use of all garden machinery and in training others, preferably with qualification in horticulture and/or leadership Experience of people management with proven ability to grow capacity of teams by setting objectives and evaluating against targets. Excellent customer service and communication skills over a variety of channels Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating experience to influence and negotiate at all levels using a variety of techniques to persuade and convince others to support an idea or agenda. Experience of working responsively with emerging needs with the ability to think clearly in times of stress, especially when formulating a solution to a pressing problem. Experience of presenting and holding team meetings/ toolbox talks that educate and seek views and collaboration of participants Positive can-do attitude, passion for inclusive working practices, and ability to work as part of a central management team, supporting other Supervisors where required. Flexible approach to working hours, particularly in the summertime. Full, clean driving licence and ideally hold a PA01 and PA06 pesticide licence.
