We are currently seeking a proactive Maintenance Surveyor to join a dynamic Property & Facilities team based in London. This role, reporting to the Property Surveyor, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and compliance of a diverse portfolio, including residential, commercial, retail, and community spaces across a 13-acre site.
Key Responsibilities:Respond promptly to reactive repair requests, assessing technical issues and recommending efficient solutions.
Supervise in-house maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure high-quality, professional service delivery.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, tenants, and residents regarding proposed works and their impact.
Maintain accurate records in internal systems, ensuring up-to-date information availability.
Mitigate property-related risks and liaise with suppliers to procure suitable materials.
Requirements:ONC/HNC in building-related studies, ideally certified in surveying.
Minimum 3 years' experience in responsive maintenance, preferably within social housing.
Proficiency in site investigations (e.g., damp, structural inspections) and building trades.
Knowledge of health and safety standards (IOSH, Asbestos awareness, etc.) and practical experience in related protocols.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with good IT proficiency.
