Volunteer Fundraiser to raise visibility and funding for a small charity in Western Kenya
Pursue - Salisbury, England, United Kingdom
We need a UK fundraising lead, not grant specific, to help Pursue increase visibility and attract new supporters. Pursue is a small charity in Western Kenya, serving rural schools to ensure that every child receives a quality education.
What difference will you make?
Pursue Kenya is almost entirely dependent on funding from the UK. This role will not only help secure the longevity of our work but hopefully also help us see growth as we secure funds to increase and add projects.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will have at least 3 years of experience in fundraising in some capacity, a good knowledge of the charity sector, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to collate and present information aimed at securing donors/funding, and be a team player who can work independently.
What will you be doing?
We would like somebody with fundraising experience, ample time, and the ability to work autonomously to visit churches, schools, and corporate organizations and share about Pursue's work to bring on board new donors. You will also be responsible for organizing regular specific fundraisers (e.g., cake sales, marathons, quiz nights, school events, etc.). The role will be part of the Grants Committee and is the only one of its kind, so the person must be willing to travel to venues and do presentations alone.
