Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 185 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings as well.
Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas with further plans to redevelop and expand throughout 2025 increasing the number of Bedrooms self-contained Golf facilities, as well as an opulent new Spa with state-of-the-art facilities.

Main duties and purpose of the role:
To ensure the smooth running of our Front of House Food and Beverage operations is managed including Elements Restaurant, Squadron Bar, Events and Conferences whilst supporting the Head of Golf managing the Sports Bar Bunkers.
* To manage and oversee our Bars operation, Conference and Banqueting, Elements Restaurant and Chartwell Restaurant. Elements is our Hotels main restaurant where breakfast and afternoon teas are served, Chartwell is our Fine Dining Restaurant.
* Ensure rotas are managed and costed correctly in line with Hotel targets.
* The ability to manage, motivate & delegate tasks to your team.
* To carry duty management shifts in the Estate.
* To support other Food and Beverage outlets when required.
* Recruit, train, coach and develop all team members in Elements restaurant.
* Work with Sales and marketing to help support and develop the whole Food and Beverage operation to both resident and non-residents.
* Develop wines with Executive Head Chef in line with seasonal demands and trends.
* To ensure that the team are fully trained on the product including all facilities and service standards expectations.
* Ensure target KPIs including guest spend and guest satisfaction scores are met.
* To ensure standards of procedure are in place and followed by the team.
* To ensure all relevant legislation, compliance and procedures in employment law, health and safety, food safety, liquor licensing is followed by all the team at all times.
* Mentor, monitor and develop the Elements team.
* Make sure that 6, 10 weeks reviews with new starters are delivered to all team members as well as 6 monthly objective setting.
* Lead the departmental induction of new starters and ensure they are fully competent in the role.
* Ensure an adequate training plan is implemented based on guests’ feedback, personal and colleagues’ observation.
* Ensure consumable, food, liquor is maintained at a level suitable for the business.
* Control all costs through payroll and stock control.
* Ensure the business has a strategic plan to continue to develop sales and the guest experience.
* To ensure the Food and Beverage team are monitoring Liquor stocks and ensure orders are placed in a timely manner.
