Job Description
As a Youth Worker in our innovative Mental Health Youth Work Service, you will provide trauma-informed, practical, and emotional support to young people aged 11–18 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, Working closely with NHS clinicians and community partners, you will manage a caseload, conduct thorough needs assessments, and create tailored care plans. Your work will empower young people to improve their well-being and connect to long-term resources in the community. Evening and weekend shifts are part of this fulfilling role, offering vital care to youth during times of crisis.
Qualifications
We’re looking for an experienced Youth Worker with a background in supporting vulnerable young people, ideally within a mental health context. You’ll have a solid understanding of youth development and mental health challenges, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. A degree in social work, youth work, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant safeguarding knowledge and experience.

Contract: Permanent
Hours & work pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)
Salary: £29,767.50
Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich,
