The Role
Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Services team?
The ideal candidate will provide psychological assessment for pupils attending Together trust education setting and external schools as required. You will provide consultation, guidance and support to school staff as part of a multidisciplinary team enable them to promote the emotional well-being, learning and skill development of children, young people.
Hours:37.5 Hours
Salary: £57,738.93
Contract: Term time - Full time/ Part time/Job share considered
Location: Hybrid - Home, School/Office based as necessary
Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;
* Provide, where necessary, highly specialist psychological reports, for key stakeholders and other practitioners within the wider professional network.
* Use applied psychology in working closely with staff from a variety of disciplines, parents/ carers and students to develop supports and interventions that mitigate the barriers to learning experienced by students with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
* Undertake highly specialist psychological assessments and needs analysis with services we support (internal and external to the Trust) to ensure needs are captured and supported effectively.
* Contribute to a Trust-wide clinical MDT approach, in house clinical supervision and quarterly learning space.
* Support the development of the Trust’s Assistant Psychologists, and the development and facilitation of training placements for Education Psychologists in training.
* Be involved in the delivery of training programmes relevant to skills and expertise, delivered both internally across the Trust’s services and externally where requested
* Adhere to the BPS’s Professional Practice Guidelines, the HCPC ‘Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics’ and ‘Standards of Proficiency’, and ensure professional development in line with these, through participation in internal/ external CPD training and development programmes.
* Raise the profile of Together Trust Therapy and Specialist Support services- this will include the production of learning and reflective papers and engagement with wider specialist and clinical networks
About you
* Doctorate in educational Psychology
* Registered with the HCPC
* Significant post qualification experience supporting CYP in Education settings
* Significant experience of working with children or young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum conditions and/or with mental health needs.
* Knowledge of current educational systems generally and of those associated with children and young people with special needs
* Knowledge of Autism Spectrum conditions
* Ability to relate well to other professionals, parent and carers.
