Main Duties of the Job:
1. To work with the existing team to provide neurodevelopmental / neurobehavioural assessments for ages 0-18 years.
2. Manage co-morbidities such as ADHD, tics, and epilepsy.
3. Undertake clinical supervision and training of Specialist Registrars while carrying out the community paediatric component of their post.
4. Develop a specific area of interest to complement the existing service provision.
5. Opportunity to undertake clinic in a special school environment.

Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications & Training (Essential):
* Full GMC Registration
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via; CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CESR, or European Community Rights
* Evidence of specialist training/experience in community paediatrics
* MRCPCH or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge (Essential):
* Demonstrates the underpinning competencies for Community Paediatrics including appropriate knowledge, skills, and behaviours relevant to the role
* Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH based Consultant
* Experience in a special interest that will complement those already existing in the department
Current Skills & Abilities (Essential):
* Willingness and ability to fulfil the general service elements of the job description
* Evidence of the clinical skills required to fulfil all elements of the job as detailed within the job description
