The Head of Goalkeeping will provide elite level on and off field coaching to the Bolton Wanderers first team goalkeepers with modern methodologies in line with the clubs playing philosophy.
Main areas of responsibility
1. Designing and delivering bespoke training programs tailored to individual goalkeeper plans for the First Team Goalkeepers.
2. Incorporate modern on field goalkeeping practices, tactics and game-specific drills into training sessions across all game phases (In & Out of Possession, Transitions & Set Plays).
3. Formulation and enforcement of bespoke GK Individual Development Plans based on identified strengths and weaknesses.
4. Ensure Off Field Learning is maximised to support GK IDP's using video and data analysis.
5. Work with Analytics & Data departments to design and implement bespoke data sets and metrics to BWFC game demands and playing style.
6. Work with Sports Science and Medical departments to ensure GK's physical capability is maximised to ensure they can meet the requirements of BWFC game demands and playing style.
7. Ensure alignment in methodologies and processes among all other goalkeeping coaches within the club.
8. Oversee Academy succession planning for BWFC GK's in line with relevant staff members.
9. Work alongside Recruitment department for First Team and Academy to inform and collaborate on GK recruitment and succession planning.

1. UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence
2. UEFA A Goalkeeping Licence
Experience
1. Proven experience as a successful goalkeeper coach at First Team Level
2. Proven track record in Youth Development.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualities
1. Knowledge of technical and tactical components of successful football strategies, tactics and techniques appropriate to the team and player's stage of development.
2. Growth mindset and strong evidence of continued professional development.
