Following the recent award of a £multi-billion renewable energy project, a global leading consultancy seeks to employ a proven Planning professional who has experience of working on energy environment (Power & Renewables, HVDC, Energy & Power Generation, Offshore Cabling, Windfarms, Nuclear etc) In the role of Associate Director.

Th Associate Director will play a key role in the successful delivery of a £multi-billion flagship renewable energy project that will have a positive impact on the environment and communities in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in Interactive Planning and Construction Lean Planning Sessions, ensuring comprehensive schedules developed using industry best practices and site benchmarking data
Align Engineering, Procurement and Construction plans with Integrated Primavera Master Project Schedules, collaborating with Contractors and stakeholders
Support early project stages planning, utilizing preliminary concept and design information and field mobilisation milestones
Establish Construction Planning best practices across all projects from a Project Controls perspective, ensuring adherence to standards
Develop Construction Scheduling Templates utilising historical benchmarking data and norms
Identify resources and man-hours required for project activities; maintain accurate estimates throughout the project duration
Ensure Field Performance updates are captured accurately and reflected in Project Schedules
Maintain and organise an integrated EPC schedule using CPM, resource loading, Work Breakdowns, Baselining, coding, and cost accounts
Consistently communicate the plan/schedule to all project team members
Perform schedule analysis, report findings, and assist in developing recovery plans
Prepare planning/scheduling reports against set Baseline targets
Align activity links with project deliverables, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Contracting Strategy, and Workface Planning
Account for approved change orders in the schedule and analyse their impact on the projectKey Challenges & Complexities of Role:
Driving sustained improvements in cost performance through the accurate and timely use of management information
Supporting culture change using relevant KPIs to drive performance and focus on delivering desired outcomesExperience and Expertise:
Significant experience in a project portfolio environment
Experience as a planner/scheduler on facilities capital projects, including design and construction phases
Expertise in modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools
Proficiency in using Primavera P6
Understanding of Isometric drawings and Engineering 3D Models
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment
Experience in industries such as Power & Renewables, HVDC, Energy & Power generation, Offshore cabling, Windfarm
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)Education:
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Project Management
