Long-Term Teachers are proud to partner with a fantastic alternative provision who are committed to giving young people a second chance through a trauma-informed, child-centered approach. They are seeking a compassionate, patient and flexible learning mentor to support students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. These students require time away from mainstream education and in this role, you’ll be vital in helping students grow both socially, emotionally and academically.
Key responsibilities:

* Support participation in vocational activities, such as construction or hairdressing
* Help build students’ confidence and self-esteem
* Support students in their transition back to mainstream education
About you:
Patience, resilience and empathy are essential in this role. You should be confident in managing challenging behaviour and able to create a supportive environment for the students. Building strong relationships with the students requires dedication and perseverance, but it is deeply rewarding when you witness their progress.
