Job Description
Job Purpose: To deliver an efficient and effective Dermatology service by providing expertise and clinical activity in the Small Animal Hospital. To enhance clinical teaching for undergraduates, interns, and residents, and undertake clinical scholarship to contribute to the School's objectives of excellence in clinical service and teaching. This is a post-doctoral role in Veterinary Medicine at the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Vet Medicine.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical:
* Contribute to the Dermatology service by providing high-quality advice to external referring practices, maintaining a clinical referral workload to support teaching and scholarship.
* Develop novel diagnostic and treatment approaches, and explore income generation opportunities.
* Participate in out-of-hours service, ensuring adequate supervision and expertise availability.
* Provide mentorship and supervision to staff and clinical scholars, supporting their training and research activities.
* Engage with professional bodies at national and international levels.
* Ensure compliance with professional development requirements of the RCVS.
* Participate in promotional activities related to the Dermatology services.
* Support the development of the academic discipline through external collaborations.
Teaching:
* Plan, organize, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities.
* Conduct assessments and provide feedback to support student learning.

Scholarship:
