This is a rare opportunity to join our Performing Arts department as a part-time Music Teacher. Music is firmly established as a vital subject at KS3 and we are now establishing it as a major subject at GCSE. Music is an important part of the Ark curriculum model, and we are ambitious for music to be a thriving part of our school culture.
We are privileged to boast excellent facilities on both our campuses, including a wide selection of instruments and a performance platform of a 100-seat hall with dedicated sound and light facilities. Our young people will also perform during numerous events at school and within the local community.
We’re looking for an individual who:
* Has knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum
* Can lead by example, through outstanding practice and professionalism
* Cares about students, their learning, and their futures
* Is driven to make a difference, to overcome barriers, to be relentless in enabling all students to make exceptional progress
* Is committed to their own personal development and to collaborative, consultative working
What we offer:

* Twice as many training days as standard and network-wide events with Ark colleagues, held by the best minds in education
* Weekly staff training designed to meet the needs of the school
* Coaching for every teacher
* Protected co-planning time
* Access to high-quality professional development, including nationally recognised qualifications such as the NPQML and NPQSL
