Based on technology from Professor Allan Bradley’s laboratory in Cambridge University’s Department of Medicine, T-Therapeutics has secured significant investment from a blue-chip syndicate of investors to support its drug discovery efforts and prepare candidates for clinical development. T-Therapeutics was founded in 2022, and we are at the beginning of our journey to develop transformative T cell derived medicines. To realise our ambition, we are currently expanding and strengthening our teams at Granta Park, Cambridge. (Senior) Research Associate – Pipeline – Expression About the Opportunity We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Pipeline Expression team. The team has developed both mammalian and E.coli expression platforms to generate high quality molecules for TCR-based therapies. The role is primarily lab-based and requires good verbal and written communication. This an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced medicines that can impact the lives of patients around the world. In this role you will be responsible for: Small to litres-scale expression of molecules in relevant cell lines (including mammalian and bacterial) Carrying out routine protein expression, small-scale purification, and side-projects for technology development Use of automated liquid handling systems to carry out high-throughput protein expression and purification and other related workflows Work with project teams to provide data and progress updates for relevant molecules Precise recording of laboratory work About You MSc or equivalent practical work experience in mammalian cell culture for protein expression. Excellent communication skills for reporting (written & oral presentation) and experimental write-ups Quick to learn the use of lab instrumentation and new experimental techniques Experience of effective team and matrix working in a dynamic environment. Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects simultaneously Experience in some of the areas listed below would be advantageous: Methods to measure binding affinities such as Biacore and other SPR techniques for characterization of TCRs. Bacterial cell culture (E.coli) for protein expression as well would be an advantage. Use of Hamilton (or similar) automated liquid handler platforms Molecular biology and related tasks to generate vectors required for expression Company Benefits T-Therapeutics offers employees a wide range of benefits.
