We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist Developmental Role to join our Clinical Nurse Specialist team here at The London Clinic. We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £44,252 - £54,077 per annum.

Job Profile
The post holder will work closely with gynaecology consultants and The London Clinic's nursing teams (TLC). This includes having a distinct responsibility to gynaecological patients and providing a comprehensive specialist nursing service to The London Clinic working within the multidisciplinary team. As a multidisciplinary team member, they will work collaboratively with other members of the MDT to provide the highest standards of specialist nursing care to patients within gynaecology. Acts as a Key Worker for a clinical caseload, working to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support for patients. The post holder will facilitate and support healthcare teams to implement evidence-based practice and will contribute to the development of the gynaecology service at TLC.
* To provide specialist knowledge, expertise and care to gynaecology patients, this includes optimal care for inpatients, outpatients and their families.
* To assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of the patient’s physical, psychological, and social needs, including HNA tool completion.
* As a key worker, provide gynaecology patients, their families and carers with a point of contact from diagnosis, through investigations and treatment.
* Provide support to patients and their families during their diagnosis, ensuring that they have information to help them make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
* To offer support and clinical expertise to help manage menopausal symptoms holistically.
* To assess symptoms/side effects from the service user’s disease and treatment and post-operative care management.
Skills & Experience
* Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Post-basic qualification in gynaecology or relevant subject.
* Post-Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care Nursing or the equivalent.
* Considerable post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within a gynaecology setting.
* Considerable experience working within cancer care.
* Some experience in training and teaching.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team.
* Significant post-registration clinical experience.
