Service Manager Supported Living Location: Greater Manchester Salary: £28.000 per annum Hours: Full-time Contract: Permanent We are looking for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to join our team in overseeing the delivery of high-quality supported living services. As a Service Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to provide person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and other complex conditions, ensuring that they lead fulfilling and independent lives in a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the supported living service, ensuring the highest standards of care, support, and safety are maintained. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of senior support workers and support staff, providing guidance, training, and leadership to enable them to perform at their best. Take responsibility for the recruitment, induction, and retention of staff, ensuring the team is well-trained and equipped to provide excellent care. Develop and implement individual care plans, risk assessments, and person-centred support strategies for each service user, ensuring their needs and preferences are at the heart of everything we do. Monitor and evaluate service quality, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, local authority contracts, and safeguarding regulations. Manage the services budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial targets and quality outcomes are met. Build positive relationships with external professionals, families, and other stakeholders, advocating for the needs of service users. Lead on safeguarding and health and safety processes, ensuring all incidents are reported and managed appropriately. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a management role within a supported living, social care, or health care environment. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team. In-depth knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and the regulatory framework for supported living services. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, staff, families, and external agencies. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively. A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Desirable: Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions. Experience of managing budgets and financial planning within a care setting. A full, clean driving licence, as travel between services may be required.
