Morrison Water Services is part of our water division and is currently looking to recruit a number of Apprentice Water Network Operatives to work on our Yorkshire Water Contract.

Specific activities relating to the role:
- Repair and Maintenance (R&M) of the existing Water network, where you will learn how to repair faults and damage to water mains and services
- Installing water services and ancillary structures, you will prepare for and install water mains or services using a variety of jointing techniques
About you - - Be at least 18 years of age at the time the apprenticeship program commences
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be able to travel to your depot or work site every day, potentially at unsocial hours, and must possess a full manual driving license by the end of the apprenticeship programme
- Achieved grade A-D in English and Maths or be willing to undertake Functional Skills, which is equivalent to GCSE qualifications
- Be prepared to travel and stay away from home to undertake block release training and quarterly development sessions.
- Demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm to work outdoors
- Possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools

About your apprenticeship
You will undergo block release training at 3t Training Services based in Urmston, Manchester. Here you will acquire the basic knowledge, skills and competence to enable you to work productively within the water industry.
Alongside your apprenticeship, you will undertake our award-winning EU Skills accredited Apprenticeship Development Scheme (ADS) programme. The ADS programme provides valuable soft skills development, which is underpinned by mental health/pastoral care. You will attend quarterly workshops to provide you with key skills that will support you in your career journey.
The remainder of your time will be spent under supervision on site and undertaking additional technical training to support your role.
