Job overview
Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join our busy Informatics Department.
This role will give you the chance to be part of the team who look after, develop and maintain the trusts’ business critical clinical systems. Your role will include supporting front line services via the systems helpdesk, to ensure our systems are accurate. You will also troubleshoot and investigate issues, escalate where required and promote best practice of using our systems. In addition to creating new user accounts, ensuring people have the access they need and maintaining relationships with System Suppliers.
This is a varied role, with ever-changing priorities therefore, you will need to be able to work under pressure at times, have strong communication skills and be a team player.

Relevant experience in a helpdesk role or experience of NHS clinical systems would be advantageous however, full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
* Set up, amend and de-register users of the systems subject to appropriate access control, reset passwords and assist with maintaining system reference files to ensure details and information is accurate.
* Process System Access Forms efficiently and effectively, ensuring that the workflow is updated in a timely manner.
* Support users on how to undertake standard reports from Information Systems.
* Resolve and log system faults and errors.
* Provide first line telephone support for users, resolving and logging queries to System Supplier and LPFT internal helpdesk as appropriate.
* Maintain high knowledge of administrative procedures and develop a specialist knowledge of Organisations Information Systems and feed into updates of manuals and quick guides.
* Support data migration activities in the event of the implementation of new information systems.
* Monitor use of information systems by users and shadow and support users in initial stages of go-live.
* Communicate to all system users any information in relation to Information System changes.
* Provide support and administrative support to teams experiencing problems with Smartcard Access including Local Agent Role.
* Assist with general administrative duties for the Systems Team.
* Support the testing of System upgrades/changes on the Live/Test and Train databases.
* Maintain continuous development and mandatory training.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Assist the Systems team in the efficient management and operation of RiO Clinical System, CareXML (Stalis), e-Referrals system, BigHand, WebV system, IAPTus system, the Incident and Risk system Datix, Virtual Visits, Lincolnshire Shared Care Record, NHS Mail and some elements of SystmOne in addition to any other critical Digital System implemented by the Trust.
Process System Access Forms efficiently and effectively, ensuring that the workflow is updated in a timely manner.
Have responsibility for supporting frontline services in their utilisation of electronic information systems across LPFT including any future electronic critical systems and to provide practical advice and demonstration to front line workers and administration staff, i.e., through System Shadowing.
Promote data quality within clinical and admin teams working within Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Support users to follow the necessary changes in working processes.
Administer the Internal Systems Helpdesk, dealing and resolving problems and queries raised by ensuring that all logged calls are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
Required to use your own initiative when dealing with a wide range of people and situations and will work as part of the Systems team.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Good general education (4 GCSE or equivalent including Maths and English)
* Evidence of further training or equivalent experience in the use of IT
* E.C.D.L. or equivalent
* N.V.Q. Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent
* Evidence of ongoing personal development
Experience
* Experience of working in a health or social care setting/administrative experience
* A working knowledge of the principles of Data Standards and an understanding of the term Data Quality
* Knowledge of confidentiality, system security and Data Protection
* Advanced experience of Clinical Information systems
