This is a key role to support the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) to deliver key commercial procurement outcomes in accordance with the implementation of the BHRUT vision and strategy for Commercial Procurement, as approved by the Trust Board.
This will drive the Trust to deliver a Best in Class Commercial Procurement Service for BHRUT and Integrated Collaboration across North East London (NEL).
The role will involve managing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Other key duties will include supporting the Associate Director of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Senior Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) with the management of strategic suppliers to maximise operational performance, whilst minimising risk and reducing costs to improve the overall financial and operational performance of BHRUT.
Main duties of the job
Support the Head of Commercial Procurement (Clinical/Non-Clinical) and Commercial Procurement Business Partners (Clinical/Non-Clinical) by operating as a fully integrated Associate Business Partner to the Clinical and/or Non-Clinical Divisions, with the aim of balancing contract spend and income alignment as well as exploiting commercial opportunities by managing projects and outputs end to end throughout the commission, procurement and contract management lifecycle.
Support the Trust's PRIDE values, vision and objectives.
Provide subject matter expert advice to senior clinical and/or non-clinical stakeholders in relation to strategic procurement, contracts management, policy, and procurement governance and assurance.
Strategically and operationally manage and deliver the end to end procurement of major strategic contracts and multi-disciplined procurement projects, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and other NHS partners throughout the commissioning, procurement and contract management lifecycle.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualifications
* Graduate level qualification in procurement business or finance related field or equivalent experience and full MCIPS professional qualification or working towards attainment of MCIPS with level 4 completed as a minimum and currently at level 5, or equivalent experience.
* Attainment of A-Level qualifications and graduate qualification in a business, procurement, supply chain management, logistics or transport related field or equivalent experience.
* Professional post-graduate qualification in procurement, business or finance related field or equivalent experience.
* Full Professional qualification in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent full qualification and membership or equivalent experience.
Skills/ Abilities
* High level of IT skills and excellent working knowledge of various MS packages.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Excellent verbal and written skills; specifically the ability to write and articulate complex matters in simple language to appeal to multiple audiences.
* Strong visible leadership style; providing professional leadership by leading by example with the ability to work in a matrix structure as both an effective team member and inspirational team leader.
Experience/ Knowledge
* Experience of delivering medium to high level procurement projects and associated savings and supporting Senior Business Partners/Category Managers with the delivery of strategic projects and associated key cash releasing and non-cash releasing efficiencies.
* Experience of providing excellent customer service; attention to detail and understanding the customer's requirements to create effective working relationships.
* Experience of leading risk management and risk mitigation plans relating to commercial procurement; specifically experience of ensuring and assuring that the Trust is not exposed to financial, service or reputational risk as a result of commissioning, procurement and contract management activities.

Salary: £51,883 to £58,544 a year per annum inclusive
