Veterinary Surgeon - Scarborough

Purovets has an incredible opportunity to become part of a well-established and proudly independent practice which has a good reputation locally for high standards of care. The practice is located in Scarborough where coastal charm meets vibrant community.

You will join a friendly and experienced team that values mutual support. Sharing knowledge and assisting with complex cases is standard practice. The team members possess diverse strengths and interests, which leads to continuous learning. The team consists of three vets some of whom have interests in dentistry focus, the hands-on director is closely involved in all pet-related medical and surgical matters. You will be supported by a skilled practice manager and an excellent nursing team.
The practice is well equipped with the usual kit including ultrasound with cardiac capabilities, digital x-ray, dental x-ray plus a brand-new dental machine.
Our client is looking for a moderately experienced vet who will enjoy the autonomy to manage cases and pursue personal interests. The director is enthusiastic about mentoring, making this an excellent environment if you aim to enhance your abilities or build confidence in specific surgical procedures.
Outside of work, you will relish an excellent quality of life with affordable housing and nearby attractions including beautiful beaches, charming fishing villages, scenic natural spots like Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire Moors and Wolds, historic York, and coastal Whitby.
The Rota:
• Full Time or Part Time, flexible rota
• No OOH, Sundays, or Bank holidays
• Closed over lunch ensuring a proper break
• 1:4 mornings only (8.30am - 1pm) and you will get a full day off in lieu of the Saturday worked, plus an extra half a day off each month.
• Shifts are 8.30am to 5pm
