About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support in boosters and interventions for young learners, especially those with special educational needs (SEN). In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to support pupils in reaching their potential, both academically and personally. The role focuses on small group work and one-on-one support to aid development in core subjects, social skills, and confidence-building. This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in young lives, with the ability to adapt and tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in Key Stage 1.
• A compassionate, patient approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong understanding or experience in supporting children with SEN.
• Ability to implement booster and intervention sessions effectively.
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored intervention sessions for Key Stage 1 students to support their learning and development.
• Collaborate with teachers to create and implement engaging activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support, particularly focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Monitor and report on student progress, working alongside SEN staff to ensure individual needs are met.
• Support students in building confidence and achieving their personal best.
