As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing employee payroll data, ensuring accuracy across timesheets, statutory payments, holidays, absences, and other payroll-related information. Your work will ensure employees are paid correctly and on time, contributing to the smooth operation of our payroll function. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: In this role, you will deliver an accurate and timely payroll service, ensuring all payroll-related activities meet strict deadlines. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Managing payroll inboxes and addressing queries related to pay, tax, and pensions. - Handling payroll processes for starters, leavers, holidays, and absences reports. - Monitoring and analysing holidays and absences for the company and distributing it to respective head of operations. - Assisting the Payroll Manager in daily tasks and ensuring payroll deadlines are met. - Managing the Time & Attendance system and monitoring employee data. - Carrying out payroll-related administrative tasks with precision and efficiency. - Supporting process improvements and assisting in refining payroll procedures. - Processing statutory documentation such as payslips, P45s, P46s, and P60s. - Liaising with HMRC when required to ensure compliance with payroll regulations. - Ensuring all payroll calculations align with statutory requirements. - Assisting in the monthly pension submission process. - Supporting the Payroll Manager with reconciliations and other ad hoc payroll-related duties. Key Skills: - Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within a fast-paced service industry such as facilities management, retail, or hospitality, working with both white- and blue-collar employees. - Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes and experience using payroll and time & attendance software. - Proficiency in IT systems, with advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP) being essential. - Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with managers and employees via email and phone. - Self-motivated and able to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving payroll issues. - Understanding of TUPE IN/OUT processes is advantageous. - Ability to maintain professional relationships that align with company values. Level Of Qualification. - Working towards a CIPP certification is beneficial but not essential. Previous experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided. You will need to present and conduct yourself in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner in accordance with the Company policies, procedures, guidelines and values.
