You will work as a member of Essex STaRS in providing high quality, evidence-based, holistic nursing care to service users in line with your NMC professional code of conduct and Trust policies. You will jointly assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist prescribing packages of care based upon individual service user needs, under the guidance of the Independent Non-Medical Prescriber as per NICE guidance.

Band 5 Substance Misuse Nurse
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Chelmsford based team. This post can either be a developmental post for a newly qualified Band 5 or can be offered to an experienced mental health or general nurse with an interest in the substance misuse field.
The service promotes lifelong learning and opportunities for continuing professional development. We work with patients with opiate and alcohol misuse issues in partnership with other agencies. We offer opiate substitute prescribing and ambulatory detox and provide holistic treatments that include physical health assessments, BBV vaccinations, and drug screening.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will be part of a small team working across the Mid Essex area of the county. Job Responsibilities
As required by your Team Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and management of lower banded staff within your professional group and team locality. This will include the management of these staff in line with agreed Trust HR processes.
