We are recruiting a Finance Analyst (FP&A) to join our Finance Team in our Support Centre in Watford. This is a key finance role for managing support centre (head-office) costs, operating cross functionally to build stakeholder engagement, providing executive insight into actual spend, whilst also assisting the wider FP&A team to provide insight into the financial performance of Wickes. Key Responsibilities: Completing the period-end close for support centre costs (head-office) in accordance with agreed deadlines, including posting all journals, reviewing and resolving accounting discrepancies and completing balance sheet reconciliations Ownership of the support centre costs budgeting and forecast process - creating a ‘step-by-step’ timetable, communicating, arranging and leading meetings with ‘Heads of departments’ and ‘Directors’ across the business. Compiling and reviewing the resulting data and working with the Senior Finance Manager (FP&A) to create summary files for review by the Executive Board Analysis and detailed review of support centre costs - reviewing support centre costs against forecasts, and preparing packs to be reviewed by the CEO and CFO Being the first point of contact for support centre business partnering and providing support where required Coordinate the submission of the Wickes P&L flash, liaising and communicating deadlines with the wider finance team as necessary, and review of the flash before creating a pack to be sent to the FLT (finance leadership team) Assist with the completion of the periodic management accounts, providing commentary of P&L performance vs targets Assist with various FP&A team deliverables, including supporting the end to end budget / forecasting / outlook cycles across the finance function, leading the budget upload process and assisting with various data manipulation and slide preparation tasks Ad hoc analysis as required by Director of FP&A / Senior FP&A Manager What are we looking for: Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA Retail experience Business partnering experience Ability to draw conclusions and insight from data analysis High attention to detail Analytical skills Strong spreadsheet skills Well organised with the ability to prioritise work Some understanding of P&L and balance sheet Ability to create journals What can we offer you?
