SecOps Engineer - (SecOps, Platform, Azure, DSPT toolkit, ISO, NIST, Cyber Essentials, Security Tools, Sentinel, DataDog, CloudKnox, Firewalls) - Permanent - London/Hybrid
Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for a SecOps Engineer on a permanent basis for a fast-growing business based in London.
This is a hybrid role with travel into the London office when needed.
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum D.O.E
Skills/Requirements for the SecOps Engineer:
1. All candidates must have previous experience working as a SecOps Engineer, or extensive Security experience whilst working within the DevOps or Platform areas.
2. Security Testing within OWASP, DAST and SAST; any vendor tool will be acceptable, however, experience with Mend, Snyk or SonarCloud would be a bonus.
3. Strong design, implementation, and troubleshooting of secure cloud infrastructure.
4. Experience with Security Tools; any vendor would be good with a preference for Sentinel, Datadog and/or CloudKnox.
5. Exposure to ISO, Cyber Essentials, and NIST; ideally, following these guidelines or implementing them for businesses.
Start date: ASAP for the SecOps Engineer
The SecOps Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Owning the vulnerability and threat management part of the tech, addressing identified issues and working closely with Developers to implement fixes.
2. Supporting external partners with penetration testing and implementing audits and automated planning.
3. Collaborating with all members of the DevOps/Cloud team to enhance resilience and focus on the security of the SDLC.
4. Assessing and enhancing the security across the Network, system, and cloud environments; identifying risks and threats.
5. Monitoring and maintaining security services, systems, and infrastructure.
6. Supporting services running in the cloud-native infrastructure and proactively identifying and resolving security issues.
7. Promoting a strong security culture within the business.
8. Optimizing operational processes and current ways of working, staying up to date with industry changes and adapting them to best practices.
