Lead the short break team and advise on the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and quality assurance of related projects, training, programs, and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide professional supervision, coaching, and mentoring to internal practitioners through a variety of mechanisms to effectively address any quality or safeguarding concerns.
2. Provide written reports and presentations as appropriate.
3. Report any safeguarding incident or concerns immediately in line with Barnsley Safeguarding Children Board and Council policies and procedures.
4. Develop and implement whole system change in partnership through agreed programs to support service design.
5. Take an active role in statutory inspection events in associated functions and services, supporting developments in response to changes to inspection frameworks and associated guidance.
6. Support and advocate the development of the service, taking an active role in developing this through effective collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders, including children and their families.
7. Ensure that services are cost-effective and budgets are accounted for, including the provision of monthly budget analysis reports outlining spend, variances, and projected outturns.
8. Build internal capacity to deliver appropriate and evidence-based practice, providing support in the interpretation of relevant statutory frameworks and guidance.
9. Demonstrate impact and outcomes in relation to children and families, using this alongside your specialist theoretical knowledge to ensure packages continue to reflect children and families' needs and legislative requirements.
This is a new team; therefore, there will be considerable development work, which will involve co-production with parents, carers, children, and services across the partnership. We are seeking a confident and creative thinker.
What you will need:
1. Professional qualification at Level 3 in a related discipline.
2. Substantial relevant post-qualifying experience of working with children and families and multi-agency partners to deliver services.
3. Experience of managing and directing staff and financial resources to meet targets and outcomes in a high-pressured environment.
