Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Newport
£48,040 P/A + benefits
3 shift rotating pattern as below;
2 weeks of earlies (5:30am-2:30pm)
1 week of afters (Mon 11am - 10pm, Tues-Fri 1:30pm-10pm)
1 week of nights (9:30pm-6:30am)

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Newport!
What's the mission?
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and equipment maintenance. You will work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
What are the mission-critical skills?
1. Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ level 3 in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering (Or equivalent)
2. Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
3. Understanding of 3 Phase Motors and Variable speed Drives
4. Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
5. Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team Leaders from both maintenance and production
6. Good understanding of current environmental, health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
For extra points:
7. 17th OR 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations is desirable, but don't worry - we can provide you with training if required!
8. PLC fault-finding skills are beneficial, with knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC is desirable
9. Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
