If so, then we might be the perfect fit for each other. We are recruiting a Pricing Consultant who will slot into an already high performing team of pricing professionals. Being an integral part of the Sales Team, you will be expected to become an increasingly valued specialist working on a range of pricing activities. You will work on a varied portfolio of opportunities encompassing, projects, frameworks, consultancy, EPC/EPCM and partnering based tenders in the UK but with the opportunity to also work on tenders for international clients. The Pricing Consultant will report to Head of Pricing and work with the small established pricing team and in close liaison with the wider sales team. They will play an active part in developing pricing for strategically important bids. Pricing will range from simple rated works to more complex and innovative commercial models encompassing EPC pricing and risk / reward mechanisms. There will be an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of pricing, including the development, and setting of our Pricing Policy. Additional functions will include departmental reporting, maintenance and continuous improvement of systems used by the team. This role would suit someone with a working knowledge of a commercial contracting environment and with an aptitude for working with figures, problem solving and creative thinking. A good working knowledge of Excel and a willingness to learn, progress and develop in this environment are equally essential requirements. - Working as both an individual and within a team to prepare and submit all aspects of pricing on allocated projects / opportunities. - Developing and optimising pricing models - Authoring of Basis of Estimate documents and Tender Pricing Notes - Taking part in the tender governance process and leading on the presentation of pricing solutions - Liaison with internal teams and collation of all relevant information for tender risks, pricing, and supply chain activities - Following company processes and procedures, whilst seeking continuous improvement - Composing tender responses relating to price - Challenging the Sales & Operations teams to drive up margins - Contributing to continuous development of the Pricing Team - Must be an excellent team player who is comfortable communicating with individuals from all levels and functional areas. - Highly number literate. - Knowledge of commercial and pricing mechanisms. - Knowledge of supply chain processes for obtaining pricing. - Good organisational skills. - Effective written and oral communication skills. - Competent in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
