A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Tax Compliance Manager to join a major global brand in a high-profile in-house position based at their UK head office in Reading. Role Overview:
As UKI Tax Manager, you'll take full ownership of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities across the UK and Ireland. You will:
1. Lead and review corporation tax, VAT, and other statutory returns;
2. Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting under USGAAP;
3. Manage communications with HMRC and ensure all regulatory obligations are met;
4. Guide internal stakeholders on VAT treatments and tax processes;
5. Lead automation initiatives and support digital tax transformation;
6. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of tax positions;
7. Manage outsourced providers and act as a key point of contact within the business.
Candidate Profile:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. ACA or equivalent qualification, with a strong technical accounting foundation;
2. A minimum of 5 years' UK tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 or similar environment;
3. Solid understanding of UK Corporate Tax, VAT, and Customs;
4. Experience with tax reporting systems such as SAP and HFM;
5. Proven ability to manage external advisors, auditors, and outsourced teams;
6. Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
