Position Overview Schedules externally sourced raw material and packaging. Instigates and maintains supplier relationship management. Creates, manages and release material orders to supplier to arrive as required for the production plan. Provides material availability dates to production planners on a weekly basis. Identifies VMI opportunities. Instigates and manages safety stock to manage optimum inventory levels. Minimises short shelf-life situations. Key Responsibilities • Schedules internally and externally sourced raw material and packaging deliveries in line with MRP requirements, monitoring due date adherence and providing regular forecasts to suppliers. • Controls days on hand for purchased products within agreed optimum inventory levels. • Works effectively with the Suppliers, Global Sourcing teams, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure timely resolution to the disposition of non-conforming materials. • Maintains vendor master data, schedule agreements and pricing in SAP. • Assists Accounts Payable in the resolution of invoicing errors with suppliers. • Monitors and reports supplier delivery performance. • Works with Master Data Associate and Planners to implement changes to materials and packaging. • Controls and minimises obsolete stock. • Works as team member in project teams for new product launches and operational improvements. • Accurately and rapidly communicates information to internal customers. • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and accountability. • Participates in CI projects that will drive efficiencies for the business (VMI, Kanban, JIT). Key Requirements • Materials scheduling experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. • Supplier management experience. • Fully conversant with all aspects of the Purchasing modules of SAP, or similar ERP system • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) • Change management involving Systems, Processes and People. Qualifications/Education • Educated to GCSE standard - Maths and English • CIPS or similar Procurement certification is preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred
