Permanent About the Role: Think Community Partnership are seeking an experienced Income Recovery Officer to join a Birmingham-based housing association on a temporary to permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of tenants while working within a supportive team environment. Initially, you will be employed for a 12-week temporary period, with the intention of transitioning into a permanent role upon successful completion. Key Responsibilities: ? Rent Collection & Arrears Management Monitor and recover rent arrears in line with policies and procedures. ? Tenant Support & Engagement Provide advice and guidance to tenants to help sustain tenancies. ? Legal Action & Evictions Prepare cases for legal action where necessary and attend court hearings. ? Partnership Working Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and welfare support services. ? Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate records of rent accounts and actions taken. What Were Looking For: ? Previous experience in income recovery, rent collection, or housing management. ? Strong knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and debt recovery processes. ? Excellent negotiation and communication skills to engage with tenants effectively. ? Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload. ?
