The content planner is a critical support role within the global content team. The conference planner has responsibility over content management and session delivery for global Gartner Conferences. Responsible for the development, management, and execution of various conference elements relating to agenda management.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Lead operational delivery of all agenda elements across multiple B2B in-person and virtual conferences including agenda management, capacity management, digital event platform management, financial management, and staff planning.
2. Communication and collaboration across conference teams to ensure seamless delivery of first-class conferences.
3. Partner with program management and conference management in developing a client-focused agenda, develop and roll out new processes for session management and agenda guidelines.
4. Creation and continuous management of a client-facing website that displays all session information for attendees; adhering to agenda go live and session access deadlines.
5. Continuous management and QA of the client-facing mobile app that displays all session information for attendees.
6. Analyze data to improve attendee engagement and predict attendee behavior to determine the best course of action on various conference elements.
7. Create and maintain the conference’s master planner to ensure up-to-date session information and room allocation is available to all key stakeholders.
8. Attend conferences as the onsite lead for in-person and virtual agenda delivery including managing the conference’s session execution, conference staff, and liaising with agency partners and vendors.
9. Partner with the Content leadership team on projects by providing feedback and maximizing output to scale the business.
10. Liaise with key conference partners and team members (internal and external) to ensure successful agenda execution; build and maintain good relationships by establishing trust and a working partnership.
Expected Results:
1. Achieve operational excellence and execute global conferences on time, within budget, and with great attention to detail.
2. Conference consistency through standardized and operational processes, project management, and best practices both during planning and onsite execution.
3. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Gartner’s conference business including the value proposition of each conference for attendees and exhibitors.
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2. 1-3 years of event/project management experience.
3. Experience working in a corporate environment.
4. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, cross-functionally and with agency partners.
5. Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
6. Motivated team player with a desire to learn and grow.
7. Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to adapt, implement, and manage change and strive for continuous improvement.
9. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in high-pressure situations.
10. Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time across EMEA locations.
